This is a really cute activity! A page where students would fill in the items they choose with the prices to record their work would have made this even better.

I used this as a fun review activity on the last day of school before winter break. The kids enjoyed it and were engaged. I especially appreciated that it gave my online students a paper-and-pencil activity that they could complete on paper and then report back on their responses. I also really liked that there were lots of opportunities for students to work at their own pace, meaning while some students were working on simpler tasks within the project, my more advanced students were able to move on to the challenge problems and everyone was able to make the most of the math block.
An additional benefit to this resource is that it does not reflect any specific religion or holiday, and could be used at any point during the year with just a tiny bit of tweaking.

My students and I found this resource engaging and fun. They brought in actual desserts and I used the desserts as an incentive to complete the activity correctly. So they definitely had a sweet treat!!
