This lesson includes a “Sensory Organs” reading passage. After students read the informational text, they’ll complete the foldable notes based on the information they read in the passage. Next, students will complete a color coding activity, where students will color each box based on the sensory organ that it’s related to. Students will read a passage called, “Thriving Without Senses” and complete an activity on how people can thrive without certain senses. They will write a short paragraph to explain what they learned and translate each letter into braille using the provided chart.
