The Best Book List: 11 Science Books For The Classroom
Who doesn’t love a good read aloud, or cuddling up into a comfy spot and opening up a chapter book? Wouldn’t it be great if students could read some high interest science book titles? When incorporating science into literacy, it is always a great idea to have some interesting science books in your classroom library. No! Science textbooks don’t count! There are so many to choose from, and I felt like I absolutely had to round them all up for you! Let’s look into some science books for the classroom.

How To Be A Scientist By Steve Mould
This book includes more than 40 fun questions, games, experiments, and real-life scenarios that make learning scientific concepts fun! Simple activities help curious kids learn new ideas and stories about great scientists and their discoveries and failures. It will surely inspire your science students.

Ada Twist, Scientist By Andrea Beaty
Ada is always asking questions. She is very curious and is always on fact-finding missions and creating science experiments. Sometimes those experiments and missions don’t go as planned, though. She quickly learned the value of thinking through problems and staying curious!
Ada Twist has her own Netflix series and chapter book series called “The Why Files”.
It is also part of a great series called “The Questioneers,” including the books Iggy Peck, Architect, and Rosie Revere, Engineer.
Magic School Bus Rides Again Series By Judy Katschke
This series is part of the Scholastic line of chapter books called Branches. It is aimed at newly independent readers but is awesome for teaching scientific concepts to any grade level of students. It is full of illustrations and facts and will bring back your childhood as Ms. Frizzle’s little sister Fiona takes over! Don’t worry she still has the old catchphrase. “take chances, make mistakes, and get messy!”
